Hello! I’m Courtney, a dedicated Registered Social Worker and Counsellor passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate the complexities of physical, mental, and emotional health. Life can throw us into challenging situations—be it social, emotional, or financial—and I’m here to help you confront these obstacles with resilience and hope.
At the core of my practice is the belief that a trusting relationship is essential for healing. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your feelings and experiences. My approach is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and solution-focused care, ensuring that you feel seen and understood. I embrace culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practices, aiming to foster an environment where you can truly thrive.
Since 2007, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals facing a range of challenges, including chronic illnesses, caregiver burnout, grief, and workplace issues. I also provide guidance to those dealing with substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and life transitions. I deeply respect the unique journeys of frontline healthcare workers and those navigating the complexities of adult ADHD.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Social Work from Thompson Rivers University. As a proud member of the British Columbia Association of Social Workers (BCASW) and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW), I’m committed to ongoing professional development and maintain full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
To accommodate your needs, I offer flexible counselling options, including phone and virtual sessions.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me enjoying life in beautiful Qualicum Beach with my husband, son, and our furry family—two cats, two rabbits, and a horse. I love exploring the stunning nature of Vancouver Island and diving into new passions.
If you’re ready to embark on a journey of healing and growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s connect and explore how we can work together toward a brighter tomorrow. I’m online and available to help you navigate your path to wellness with a touch of humor, genuine care, and empathy.
